Since the beginning of the season 2017/18, Oksana Lyniv has been chief conductor of the Graz Opera and the Grazer Philharmonic Orchestra.
She was an assistant chief conductor of the Lviv National Academy Opera and Ballet Theater before becoming a permanent guest conductor of the Leopolis Chamber Symphony Orchestra in 2003. In 2004 she received the Third Prize at the Gustav Mahler Conductor Competition in Bamberg. From 2005 to 2009, she studied at at the Dresdner Musikhochschule . From 2008 to 2013 she was deputy chief conductor at the Odessa National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater. Since 2013/14, she has been a member of the Bavarian State Opera as assistant to the general music director Kirill Petrenko. At the Bavarian State Opera she conducted the new production of Boris Blachers "The Flood" a. „La clemenza di Tito“, „Le Comte Ory“, „La Traviata“, „Die Fledermaus“, „Albert Herring“, „Lucia di Lammermoor“ and Hauke Berheides Opera "Mauerschau ". In 2016/17 she gave her highly successful debut with "La Traviata" at the Graz Opera. In spring 2017 she conducted "Ariadne auf Naxos" in Munich. In April 2017 she conducted a Wagner opera for the first time at the Gran Teatre Liceu in Barcelona: the new production of "Der fliegende Holländer". In the current season, she conducts concerts with the Badische Staatskapelle, the New Philharmonic Munich, the Bavarian State Youth Orchestra, the Hamburg Symphony Orchestra, INSO LVIV, the Odessa National Symphony Orchestra and the chamber orchestra "Kiever Soloisten" at the LVIV.MOZ.ART3 Festivals in Lemberg.
